Part 1 - Spiritual Warfare: The Battle is Now!

Fr. John Farao, OFM Conv, exorcist for the Diocese of Monterey, California, explains the spiritual battle that is being waged against us, whether we realize it or not.  He discusses the dark forces that war against us, the methods they use, and ways to protect yourself and your loved ones.

At the end of the presentation, Fr. Bob Garon leads us in the Act of Denouncing Evil, written by Fr. Gabriele Amorth, exorcist for the Diocese of Rome.

Fr. John Farao, OFM Conv was born on the Azores Islands in Portugal.  He came to the United States before he was two and lived in California most of his life.  He received a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Management from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo.  After college he joined the Conventual Franciscans and received a Master’s degree in Divinity from the Dominical Pontifical School of Philosophy & Theology at Berkeley.  Fr. John has worked 16 years as a parish priest and then started his work as a State Chaplain.  He was one of the chaplains to start up the Coalinga State Hospital which specializes in the treatment of rapists and sex abusers.  For the last 14 years, Fr. John has been the Catholic Chaplain at the California Men's Colony, a State Prison that houses 4000 men in San Luis Obispo. For the last 11 years Fr. John has been the appointed Exorcist for the Diocese of Monterey, California.  During that time he assisted the Diocese of Fresno begin its own Healing and Deliverance ministry.  Fr. John received training at the Exorcist course in Rome, as well as the Healing & Deliverance Institute in Chicago at Mundelein Seminary.  He has attended the International Exorcist Association Conference held in Rome and has completed the two year course with Leo XIII Institute which trains priests in the US in the ministry of exorcism.
